22 January 2025. The Virginia Assembly will consider new laws that better protect cyclists and pedestrians. We ask that you review and endorse Senate Bill SB416 as it works its way through the transportation committee. This Bill clarifies what “careless” means when a motorist injures or kills a “vulnerable road user”.
Through education, communication, advocacy, and encouragement we help build a community where everyone can walk, run, and ride safely.
Through community outreach with programs like the Bicycle Co-Op of Williamsburg, Pedal the Parkway, Cycling Without Age, bicycle rodeos, helmet fittings, give aways, and the installation of bike Fixit stations. We also advocate with local and state government officials for stronger infrastructure to support bikes and sneakers. We do this all with the help of our Volunteers and our Sponsors.
