BIKES OUT OF HIBERNATION/PEDAL THE PARKWAY

Williamsburg, VA - April 2025 - The Williamsburg Area Bicyclists, in partnership with BikeWalk Williamsburg, James City County Parks & Recreation, Jamestown Settlement and several local bicycle shops will once again offer the free “Bikes Out of Hibernation” event. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, May 3 in the Jamestown Settlement Parking lot from 9 am - 1 pm.

Bring that neglected bicycle out of hibernation for a free once-over to get it ready for the cycling season! Representatives from local bike shops (Bicycle Coop, Trek, and Conte’s), Williamsburg Area Bicyclists and BikeWalk Williamsburg will be on hand to offer: FREE safety inspections and minor adjustments, FREE tire pumping, FREE helmets and helmet fittings and FREE refreshments.

Afterwards, The National Park Service and BikeWalk Williamsburg invite the public to walk, bike or jog on the adjacent Virginia Capital Trail or cycle the Colonial Parkway as part of the Pedal the Parkway event. Indoor restrooms and free parking will be available at the Jamestown Settlement Museum at 2110 Jamestown Road.
